Arthur Lander Student Travel Award
The Center for Complex Biological Systems (CCBS) is pleased to offer the Arthur Lander Student Travel Award, named in recognition of Arthur Lander, the founding director of CCBS. This award supports MCSB graduate student travel that advances research, collaboration, and professional development aligned with CCBS focus areas.
Award Overview
This program is supported by a generous contribution from Professor John Lowengrub and Professor Qing Nie, who have committed funding over a five-year period (2026–2030).
Each year, CCBS anticipates making 2–4 awards. Award amounts are determined based on the scope of the proposed travel and demonstrated need; individual award sizes may vary. Requests are reviewed and awarded on a rolling basis during the year, until the funds are exhausted.
